
Swatch James Bond 2Q No Time To Die Limited Edition Grey Dial Men's Watch SS07Z102
After the successful launch of the Q in celebration of the upcoming Bond release āNo Time To Dieā, is back at it with another opportunity for fans to get their hands on something special. The 2Q brings back many of the elements fans loved from the previous model, well refreshing it with some unique changes sure to excite collectors.
Suttirat Anne Larlarb, who is the costume designer for the upcoming Bond release āNo Time To Dieā (featuring Daniel Craig), was the designer behind the James Bond 2Q Watch SS07Z102. It pays homage to ās favourite character, Q, who supplies Bond with his famous gadgets in the film series. The style of the watch reflects Qās personality and style.
It is based on the Skin Irony collection, which is ās most futuristic, thinnest and toughest designs yet. The case of the watch is just 6.7mm thick and 42mm wide, it is made of stainless steel and it has a matte finish. The intent of the watch was to incorporate ātimeless tradition and futuristic innovationā.
The most alluring design feature is the exhibition window, protected by mineral glass, which allows the wearer to view the inner mechanisms of the watch. This is a great allusion to the gadgetry that serves as an inspiration for this watch. Futuristic innovation is transmitted through the slick aluminium, ring shaped design of the dial. It features narrow triangular shaped blue indices, with the logo at 12 and a āQā at 6. The sloping rehaut (inner bezel ring) is finished in a sleek matte red.
Differentiating the 2Q from the previous model is the hands which are now in a deep blue to match the markers. This blue is also carried over to the large coil which is on display through the skeletonised dial showing the many components of the watch.
The featuring of a tartan plaid leather brown strap illustrates ās commitment to the timeless tradition of Bond. Desmond Llewyn (who played Q seventeen times) often wore a tartan shirt in his portrayal as Q. The 2Q has a slightly shinier finish to the pattern, making it play with the light nicely. The back of the strap has also been changed and now features a red backing to match the bold inner bezel ring. The strap fastens using a standard metal buckle etched with the logo.
On display through the dial is ās famous quartz movement, made for by ETA. Itās a time only display with an hour and minute hand.Ā It features a battery which is external to the case, allowing for quick and easy battery change. The watch features a water resistance of 30 metres.
